About Our Sponsor

Written by a passionate vegetarian, Jim Tilberry, “Revenge of the Vegetarian” is an amusing, irreverent, and often hilarious book that covers a range of topics about vegetarianism and the meat-eating culture. The author has his tongue firmly planted in cheek, while taking humorous jabs at a variety of easy targets. Get a silly lesson on how to deal with meat eaters in social situations. “Revenge” pokes fun at vegetarians, vegans, liberals and conservatives. But it pokes the most fun at meat eaters. This short entertaining book is ideal for any vegetarian or vegetarian wannabe with a sense of humor. Some adult language. Not appropriate for children.

Jim Tilberry is a thin vegetarian living in Chicago, the city of big shoulders and even bigger waistlines. He has lived a meatless life since 1998 when he was visited by a pig in a dream asking him to give up bacon, ham and all other meat. Knowing that pigs are very intelligent he never questioned the request.

Read a great review of the book by Pittsburgh Frugal Mom.

  1. Amber Schuetz says

I was sold as soon as I saw the tofu tattoo! It will definitely serve as a perfect conversation piece for our coffee table. I’m the only vegetarian in our small town, so I’m ready for some revenge!

  2. Mike W Davis says

Oh sure I would enjoy reading it– I love fish and chicken, we grow our one veggies, a few fruit trees, and berries, but I have to admit I do deer hunt for the meat

  3. Maggie Buerger says

Revenge of the Vegetarian sounds like a funny and interesting book. I’d love to read it. Hey, it’s sold on Amazon.

  4. Sandra Brower says

I would love to have this book if only to share it with my vegetarian son. He decided to be vegetarian at age 14 and my whole cooking life changed after that. We are a complex household and better for it. The book sounds hilarious and would fit in perfectly with our philosophy or lack of it.

  5. charlene k says

Being a veggie myself I find getting my point across with humor makes a bigger statement. I will read this – definitely.

  6. Chelsea Grooms says

Probably not a book I would read. I’m allergic to fruits and vegatables. I am trying to get them more into my children’s lives though.

  7. Casey Lloyd says

I think it sounds like a fun book…plus my brother is leaning toward vegetarian so it would probably give me some understanding!

  8. says

I would definitely read this! I’m not a vegetarian but my 16YO daughter keeps trying it every couple of years. I think we would both enjoy reading this book!

  9. Alicia Gonzalez says

I love to read and I think this would be a interesting reading book. I am not vegetarian but I would like to read up on it. and gain more knowledge

  10. Becky L says

Honestly, not sure I would choose to read this one. My time is very limited for reading and I’m more of a crime/suspense novel type. It could be funny though.

  11. Becky Bryant says

I can’t say for sure if I would read it since it isn’t anything I am interested in, but I always read books because sometimes you are surprised. Thanks for the opportunity.

  12. Monika Hayes says

I like the way this books sounds. I like certain types of food and I am always looking for new ways to tempt my palette.

  13. Debi says

I’m not really sure if I’d like reading it or not. After a variety of personal experiences, I’ve become rather turned off by one group of people criticizing another; but, I’ve also had the experience of being a vegetarian and having a relative purposefully slip meat into my food.

  14. Charlotte R says

Humor always helps when reading a book that might be harder to get through. I would enjoy trying this book out because I would like to eat more vegetation.

  15. Amber Nara says

I would read it, and I would laugh at all the good n funny parts. I myself am simply not a Tofu person. But I do enjoy funny reading!

  16. Jessica Hahn says

I would LOVE to read this book…I am a meat eater at the moment but have toyed with the idea of trying to do the vegetarian lifestyle. Even if this book doesn’t help me with that, I think iit would be hilarious to read.

  17. Ashley Vazquez says

I think with the humor in the book, it would be something I would be interested in. I actually say all too often I could be a vegetarian because I am just a vegetable lover and would just prefer more veggies and pasta than any meat at all…just a preference :)
