Make Great Coffee Happen Event Part 2

Starbucks has an article on their website in which coffee experts share their tips for brewing coffee at home.  They offer tips that recently have been discovered to be the cornerstone of producing great coffee.   One such tip: “coffee should be ground fresh each time it’s made” ensures the coffee is pure and fresh with anti-oxidants and flavor intact.
The best way to accomplish this task is by investing in a good coffee grinder.  My husband and sons are coffee snobs and wouldn’t think of having a cup of coffee that wasn’t freshly ground using the whole bean coffee.

The Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder is easy to use.  It efficiently grinds coffee with complete ease, and no mess.  Some noteworthy features of the Grind Central Coffee Grinder:
Popular brushed stainless steel
Styling On/Off control for simple operation
Built-in safety interlock prevents operation unless lid is securely closed
Bowl holds up to 90 grams of beans, that’s 18 cups of coffee
Heavy-duty motor
Stainless steel blades Dishwasher-safe,
removable stainless steel bowl Lid allows for extra coffee to be stored in grinding bowl
Cord storage Storage lid
Instruction book
Limited 18-month warranty

Premium Coffee Calls for Premium Chocolate

Coffee and chocolate go together like peanut butter and jelly, or peanut butter and chocolate.  It’s such a great partnership.  Fresh coffee boast antioxidants, and so does dark chocolate.  In order to reap those benefits the chocolate should contain a good level of cocoa and it should  be organic. This is due to high levels of insecticides used in cocoa crops.  I often treat myself to Newman’s Own Organics chocolates.  All organic and ever so delicious!  Please see full review

Newman’s Own offers a really wonderful variety of chocolate:

Organic Dark Chocolate, Organic Dark Espresso Chocolate, Organic Super Dark Chocolate and Organic Orange Dark Chocolate.  As if that blissful selection wasn’t enough, Newman’s also offers their popular cups:  Organic dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Organic Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cups, Organic Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Organic Super Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and Organic Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cups

  2. We use to grind our own coffee years ago and I loved the freshness of it, then we started buying ground coffee because it was easier. We now use K cups and I would like to go back to using beans and put them in a refillable K cup I just need a good grinder.

  3. I think there is a world of difference in coffee brewed with freshly ground beans over ones which have been purchased ground. Not only is the aroma intoxicating,, but the layer of oils achieved with freshly ground makes one’s cup of joe soooo much tastier as well.

  4. I love the aroma of freshly ground coffee and it always makes a better cup of coffee if you grind the beans before you brew them.

  5. I’ve always ground my coffee and love the smell of it. I only recently received a Kcup machine, so comparing both, the ground coffee is definitely more aromatic and flavorful. If I always had time for ground, I’d prefer that over my Kcups.
