You all know I love to bring you fabulous giveaways and this Spring Into Cash Giveaway is a wonderful reminder of what is just around the corner. Spring is suppose to be here but for many of us it still has been snowing! So let’s get out a pen or pencil and start making that list of what we would like to do or what we could use $500 for! Wahoo…that is a lot of moola to use. How would you use it?
I would use the $500 towards Spring gardening. Every year I put in a vegetable garden! I have raised beds which make the soil warmer for the plants which is something we need here in Alaska! Where I am at in Alaska, I am not able to grow warm weather crops such as corn, green beans, tomatoes or cucumbers because we don’t get warm enough despite our almost 24 hours of sunshine in the summer.
I plant cool weather crops outside and put the tomatoes and cucumbers in my south facing windows in the house. I’ve also had a fair crop of green beans in the house also. But melons just don’t do well for me inside or covered outside. I really need to look into getting that greenhouse this year!
