Thanks for compiling this list. I use to be a vegan, now I will do eggs; certified humane from Whole Foods, and shellfish, mainly shrimp. I suppose I really shouldn’t though because of the humane issue. Oh and I never so no to cake.

First off, let me say I don’t cook because it’s fun and I enjoy it, I cook to eat. As a devout carnivore I find non meat dishes to be challenging to consume at times, at least when they are made in a healthy way. Having said this, clearly people love the recipes here and as they say, there’s no accounting for taste.

I’m not vegan and largely vegetarian – I’m familiar with some of these cookbooks and they are great! I want to check out the others, too. I like making many vegan recipes – you can enjoy them even if you aren’t vegan or vegetarian! Also, I like to make my own seitan, hummus, “cheesy” kale chips, etc., and vegan cookbooks often show more DIY recipes.
