Have you been noticing kombucha in your grocery store lately? Kombucha is a fermented tea drink full of helpful nutrients. While it’s been around for years, recently people have become more and more aware of what a powerful drink it is. The great result of this is that it’s now easier than ever to find quality kombucha to drink thankfully because making your own kombucha can be pretty tricky! If you’re considering drinking kombucha, but don’t know exactly why it’s good for you, check out these 5 Health Benefits of Drinking Kombucha!
5 Health Benefits of Drinking Kombucha
1. Helps Detox the Body
One of the major benefits of drinking kombucha is that it’s a wonderful way to detox your body! This is due to the antioxidants, enzymes, and other beneficial nutrients found in kombucha. Because of these nutrients, kombucha is able to help remove harmful toxins from your body. It also aids your body in creating its own detoxing enzymes and acids. So between the nutrients in kombucha detoxing you and kombucha helping your body detox itself, you get a very powerful detox!
2. Helps Your Liver
All of that detoxing is great for your liver! In fact, kombucha is great at improving liver health. It can help protect your liver cells from toxins, reducing your chance of developing liver disease or liver cancer. This is critically important, as your liver’s main job is keeping your blood clean. The better your liver can work, the healthier you’ll be overall! Just don’t chug kombucha by the gallon or you could actually overdo it and damage your liver instead!
3. Helps You Lose Weight
If you’re working on losing weight, you’ve got to drink kombucha! Kombucha aids weight loss through increasing your metabolism and reducing how much fat your body retains. This is due to kombucha being full of polyphenols and acetic acid, both of which help you to lose weight. To see the best results either drink a glass in the morning (to power your metabolism for the day), or drink a glass before you eat.
4. Clears Your Skin
One of the most visible benefits of drinking kombucha is that it helps to clear up and improve your skin. This is partially due to how kombucha detoxes your body and aids your liver. Kombucha also helps to hydrate your skin and helps your body to preserve collagen. As a result, if you suffer from acne you’ll see your skin begin to clear up. You’ll also develop better skin elasticity and skin tone, and your skin will feel better. You may also see fewer wrinkles on your skin!
5. Improves Your Immune System
Another one of the wonderful benefits of drinking kombucha is that it helps improve your immune system. This is due to the antioxidants in kombucha helping your immune system to fight off free radicals. Kombucha also has vitamin C, which is a great immune system booster, and it’s full of probiotics. By drinking kombucha and improving your immune system, you’ll be better protected against cancer, all sorts of diseases, and cell damage resulting from free radicals.

I have tried Kombucha and really like it but didn’t know how much I should be drinking. Can you tell me how much should be consumed in a day? Thanks. Great article.
Colleen says
Marsha, each person is different but generally 1 glass a day is enough. If you drink too much you will start to get diarrhea. That’s a big sign to cut back. Some people can drink 2 cups a day but generally 1 a day is perfect.
