Kids are back to school and pools are closing, many of us are ready to say goodbye to summer and hello to Autumn. Autumn is my favorite time of the year! I love the cool crisp mornings and the smell of the air and the Autumn colors. Plus it’s the month of my birth and anniversary. It’s also harvest time for delicious fall vegetables like pumpkins, apples, squash, and many others. While many of us are excited about Autumn being right around the corner, we also know it comes with certain expenses. Fall festivals, a new fall wardrobe, favorite fall recipes, and Halloween don’t come cheap, leaving many of us already counting our pennies in preparation for upcoming events.

My fondest fall memory is going to my aunt’s house in South Carolina and spending time with my little cousins and seeing all the leaves falling off the tree and noticing how beautiful the sky is in the fall.
Before my joint disease and arthritis started in my 30’s I use to take my kids to this great park in Ann arbor Mi where we lived to look at and pick leaves draw pictures of the trees and other things it was so special
My fondest fall memory is picking apples from the orchard we passed on our walk home from school….and driving to the woolen mills in NH to buy fabric for our school clothes

My happiest memory of fall is when my four brothers and sisters picked grapes with my grandparents, drove home and turned them into grape jelly together. What a mess, but lots of fun.

My favorite fall memory is watching my young daughter disappear into a pile of leaves to reappear with a look of happy wonder on her face.
I have two precious pic of my children. Each show upside down legs and feet – all else lost in fallen leaves. I hear their laughter everytime I look at them.
The fondest memory I have of fall is the harvest parties we have.
One of my fondest memories of fall is when my took my first child trick-or-treating in the neighborhood where we used to live. She was so cute in her Snow White costume. I really love fall though all the time- fresh breeze, warm clothes, hot cocoa, pumpkin-everything & all.

When I was little, we moved to WVA for a few years. We would go to hike in the mountains in Oct and Nov. and I remember the colors and the smells. It was so pretty.
Walking trough the forest every morning is my fun memory, collecting leafs with kids.
My favorite autumn memory is the color of leaves in New England. Colorado leaves just aren’t the same. There is just nothing like Vermont in early October!
Favorite Fall memory: the year I decided I loved raking and would go outside every time a leaf would fall to rake into the nearest pile (I was like 10 LOL).

Something that comes back almost every year…funny as it sounds, it’s a smell. The smell of the first day of school. I know technically it’s not autumn yet, but the start of school in NH usually marks the unofficial end of summer, hence the start of fall.
