RiceCookers, What a Time Saver
This Review & Giveaway is brought to you by My Vegan Gluten Free Life
My father died when I was a toddler. My mother remarried a man from Hawaii. My new step father’s life was so much different than our “german” lifestyle. It is very interesting now as look back on it, seeing how my mother blended a german cuisine with an asian-hawaiian cuisine. I must say she didn’t give up much of the german food but we did learn about asian cooking. One thing my step father had was a rice cooker and we had never seen or used one before knowing him. As a child growing up with my step father we always had a rice cooker to use! My mom would look forward to visits from my step dad’s merchant marine friend. He always brought us something from the orient and always brought my mom the newest design in a rice cooker. I never knew how to cook rice in a kettle and still don’t! Rice cookers are so fabulous….rice and water IN and voila…perfect rice every time! Now the rice cooker models are amazing and can cook brown rices and steam and some even double as a crockpot!
I am very happy to be able to offer ONE of my readers the chance to WIN a rice cooker! If you never have used one you really need to try one. And if you have tried one….one rice cooker is never enough! Our sponsor “Electric Rice Cookers” is offering the following rice cooker as a prize:
Aroma Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer ARC-996 12-Cup
This Giveaway is open to US only and Begins at 12:01am 7/27/2012 EST and Ends at 12:01 on 8/5/2012 EST

I would love to have a rice cooker because we eat a lot of rice at our house! (It must be a partially Asian thing.) We’re having baked chicken for dinner tonight and my boys always like to have rice with that! For us, dinner doesn’t seem like dinner without rice!

I love the way that rice tastes in a rice cooker. My mother always makes it in a pot and it tastes terrible. When I went to my friends, they had a rice cooker and it was the best tasting rice I’ve ever had.
Thanks for this giveaway! =)

I have only made rice in a pan, so this would be great to have. It would be nice to be able to cook and forget about it, especially since rice can burn. I found this out first hand a few days ago when I cooked rice in my new stainless steel pot. It turned out gross!
Colleen says
Even if you don’t win this…you really should try a rice cooker…they would save you lots of time and headache!
