Chocolate Creme Pie Recipe When I became vegan I really missed a homemade chocolate cream pie.  My mom use to make them weekly from scratch!  They were so good.   Well I’ve got a great Vegan, Gluten-Free Chocolate Cream Pie recipe that is just as good in my opinion!  I can have this and it takes me back to my warm fuzzy happy space 🙂   I use a Blendtec in much of my baking and cooking.  This recipe calls for one so if you have one OR a powerful blender give the recipe a try!  It will soon become a staple.

  4. I really don’t know much about gluten free or why a person would need to be on this diet. I have a terrible immune system and am supposedly without one-third of my immune system called the complement. My doctor really just wouldn’t discuss the gluten free diet with me. The chocolate cream pie in your recipe looks great so I am going to give it a try.

  20. This looks delicious!! Chocolate creme pie is my favorite and this recipe seems pretty easy!! Maybe this could be an Easter dessert this year!!

  21. Wow good job! I totally forgot vegans couldn’t eat standard baked goods because of the dairy. Very eye opening, and I’ll definitely recommend this to my vegan professor!

    1. Yes..if we could bake with dairy Everything would taste fabulous! You got to work at it harder being Vegan! Thanks for offering to pass it on to your Prof!

  22. This looks very tempting. I would make a glutenful version though, instead of gluten free. Does it keep/freeze well? I usually cut pie recipes in half and make a couple of tarts, but since this is chocolate I may need more pie. See how I’m already rationalizing?

    1. Oh Charj..you make me laugh thanks, I needed that today 🙂
I’ve never frozen it. It keeps for about 4 days but doesn’t last that long around our house.
So not sure what to tell you about that.
Yup I can see the rationalizing…:)

  23. I am so amazed at how delicious this looks being gluten free and dairy free! I will have to pass this along to a couple GF/DF friends 🙂 May even try it myself! yumm

  24. thanks for posting this! i have never tried VEGAN & GLUTEN FREE products before.. let alone chocolate pie like this.. i shall try it!!!!!

    1. Hi Laura,
Many companies have xanthum gum in small bags and they sell with other baked item goods like flours, tapioca, cornstarch, etc.
Any health food store would have it and Bob’s Red Mill is one company so if you find their products you should be able to find it.

  25. It must be my lucky day–I have everything I need to make this today and I was sooo craving something chocolaty! Thanks.

  26. I don’t own a Vitamix, I have a food processor (Cuisinart). So sad for me…no Vitamix.
    This looks great though.

  27. Looks fantastic. I think I will try substituting something else for the soy milk. Almond milk would work wouldn’t it?

  28. This looks incredible! Chocoloate pie is an all time favorite of mine. I don’t do soy, though. Do you think you could use almond milk or some other non-dairy non-soy milk substitute?

    1. Erika, it depends. If you make your own almond milk…it is thinner than soy milk that you buy. But almond milk that you buy is thicker so perhaps..if it doesn’t thicken you can blend more cashews..they are a great thickener.

  29. omg this looks super good! I would love to try this for my moms birthday! She is gluten free and has a hard time finding yummy desserts 🙂
