Chocolate Torte Gluten Free

I have to share a story with you. You all should know I absolutely love chocolate! When my boys were young I made lots of chocolate desserts and at that time I was not vegan or gluten free. I was able to get a restaurants recipe for this fabulous Chocolate Mousse and it was and still is a favorite of my boys! We lived in Montana then and we did lots of off-roading and when out in the back country one evening we came upon a moose coming across the road in front of us. I said to my son … Look what is that? He said that’s a chocolate moose mommie! We will always remember that.

That recipe from years ago had tons of cream so I’ve been experimenting. The following recipe is gluten free but can be made dairy free and reminds me of a thick Chocolate Mousse!    I asked my husband for his “official comments”.   He said you may quote me..”its really moist and very chocolatey..and very good.”

  1. Sounds wonderful!!! I don’t know a lot about gluten free products. Except YEARS ago they were very very hard to find. My sister in laws mother was gluten free.

  2. My daughter in law needs to eat gutten free and I am going to make this for her birthday next week. Thank you for sharing.

  3. This is not vegan… Why is it on myveganglutenfreelife.com if it has semi-sweet chocolate, butter and eggs… There are easy vegan substitutions for each of these (Cocao for the semi-sweet, coconut butter for the butter, and applesauce for the eggs.

    1. Hi Michelle..this recipe is for gluten free…and listed as such. If you read it there was notation that you could make it vegan. But it is specific for Gluten Free…
some of my readers are not vegan…
