Homemade Black Bean Burger
I came up with a yummy recipe for this Black Bean Burger. It’s Vegan and Gluten Free to boot! We use all the traditional fixings like tomatoes, lettuce, ketsup, mayo and mustard for our sandwiches.
Any gluten and dairy free hamburger buns you like works. Canyon Bakehouse is my favorite for gluten, dairy and soy free hamburger buns.
We use to buy black bean burgers patties but all the pre made frozen burgers I have found have gluten in them. So I experimented with ingredients and came up with this black bean burger recipe! Now I can share this yummy recipe for a delicious Vegan Gluten Free Burger!
Web MD says this about Black Beans:
This is a recipe for a bit softer texture vegan burger the Red Lentil Veggie Burger also with good flavor!

I haven’t tried black bean burgers before but I love adding meatless entree options to my menu plans.

My boyfriend refuses to eat any veggies because of a so-called “texture” issue, so I’m wondering if something like this would be okay for him. It doesn’t seem like you would be able to feel the texture of the beans if I tweaked your recipe a bit and completely mashed up the beans. I might just give it a shot.

I’ve been looking for a black bean burger recipe and this sounds really good. Hubby is a total carnivore, but I’m making more and more vegan meals and he isn’t even noticing as long as it’s yummy and filling with a good texture. This seems like a perfect one to sneak into my menu plan.

This looks great! Will be trying this tonight! We have turned vegan in our household now and my son is on gluten free since he is autistic.
Colleen says
Kory, my grandson is also allergic to gluten, soy, nuts and dairy! We have been concerned about autism. He will be checked in a few months for that.

I just scrolled your site looking for new ideas to toss into my gluten-free burgers, and was surprised by one of your ingredients. Kellogg’s Corn Flakes are NOT gluten-free. They contain malt, which is another name for barley. I have found either GF oats, organic corn-starch, GF polenta, or brown rice also make great binders.
Colleen says
Thanks Kaz,
I found that out after I made them….I obviously didn’t read labels well that day!
