If you want to learn how to begin and stay eating the Paleo way, The Paleo Foodie Cookbook has tons of information how to do that.  Author Arsy Vartanian shows even those new to Paleo cooking foods to avoid, pantry essentials as well as cooking tips and tricks used in Paleo cooking.   I love to experiment with Paleo recipes to use for vegan entrees and salads!

Author Arsy Vartanian remembers her grandmother and mother spending most of the day in the kitchen, preparing traditional middle eastern dishes from scratch!   In her mid 20’s although she loved to cook, she would become lethargic and foggy headed after she ate.   In 2008 Arsy heard about the Paleo way of eating and it re-kindled her desire for cooking.   Arsy shares some great Paleo Middle Eastern recipes in this book as well as regular fare.  You can find Arsy at her blog Rubies and Radishes.

One lucky reader will win The Paleo Foodie Cookbook, hardbound 10 1/4 x 8 1/4,  fabulous cookbook with full color photos and tips.

  1. I’ve been paleo since late January, I’ve lost almost 30 pounds so far and feel great. I need more recipe ideas.

  2. I am just starting to investigate the Paleo diet because of how much my body has changed with my last pregnancy. I also think it would just be very healthy for our whole family. So, I am looking for healthy tasty things to make as I transition.

  3. I would love to win this! My friend went Paleo about a year ago and she looks amazing! Plus, I really need to do more clean eating.

  4. I would use it to cook healthier meals for my family, we are so out of it and are pretty sure its what we eat! I’ve tried cooking a few paleo meals but need some guidance and inspiration to get my husband more interested!

    1. Gail it’s hard to see so many with sensitivities to foods these days. Seems like the kids are getting younger and younger with problems….

  5. I have celiac disease and a ton of food sensitivities, and have found that I feel better the closer to paleo I eat. This would help me to prepare meals for myself and my boyfriend…rather than eating the same thing every night (which I am very guilty of doing).

  6. I’m new to the Paleo lifestyle and this book will be a great way to get started and learn lots of great, new recipes.

  7. I will be gifting this book to my daughter-in-law, she is gluten intolerant and my grandson has a dairy allergy. This cookbook will be great for her and her family.

  8. My family as a whole is allergic to several things (egg yellow, dairy, gluten & onion)with each person having som diff. difficulty. So far I have been winging it but I’ve been reading lately about the paleo diet which (as far as I can tell so far) eliminates most of my problems during planning and cooking meals because it takes out Dairy and Gluten automatically and then I’m only left taking egg yellows and onions out of the recipes instead of starting with 12 ingredients and trying to find replacements for half of them. So really I love this opportunity!

    1. Christina, yes Paleo would be a great way to go. It does rely heavily on meats but if you don’t mind that it is ok. I have been trying to find plant protein substitutes and it’s hard since most have gluten in them. But there are a few now that don’t and I stock up on them 🙂
